Owen originally got their start in editing at the age of fourteen, in a failed webseries project that we don't talk about. Since then they've edited freelance for content creators, and every short film they've directed. In 2023 at The Flash Films Festival, Owen was awarded the
"Best Picture Editing" award via their debut short film "Cloud Nine".
